Mrs. Rodriguez’ AP Spanish students have been researching to add to their portfolios in preparation for the AP Spanish exam they will take next semester. As a part of research reflection, they came to the makerspace to design, then make various art and icons from different countries they researched. Students learned more than Spanish skills when they used the laser engraver, CNC router, 3D printers, Tinkercad, sewing machines, and even did some hand embroidering and clay modeling. This past week they set up an exhibition and invited their peers and other teachers in to give feedback on whether or not their masterpiece captured their research! The exhibition got rave reviews from both students and teachers! They will display their projects for the community to see in the district’s Maker Faire on April 27th, 2023.
