Board Goals

  • SAFETY

    Anna ISD will:

    • Provide a positive and safe environment for ALL students and staff.
    • Improve and retain the strength of the Defender Program on each campus.
    • Strive to meet all students' social-emotional experiences and needs by having an intervention professional on every campus by 2024.
    • Add licensed peace officers per 1,000 students.

     

    ACCOUNTABILITY

    Anna ISD will:

    • Uphold or improve accountability ratings at each campus and the district overall.
    • Increase the percentage of 3rd-grade students who “meets grade level” or above on STAAR Reading by 53%-60% by June 2024.  
    • Increase the percentage of 3rd-grade students who “meets grade level” or above on STAAR Math by 41%- 60% by June 2024.
    • Increase the percentage of graduates that meet the criteria for CCMR from 82% - 92% by August 2024.

     

    COYOTE CULTURE

    Anna ISD will:

    • Provide a positive and safe environment for ALL students and staff.
    • Preserve traditions while enhancing the overall culture of the district.
    • Promote an increase in student participation in all offered extracurricular programs.
    • The “Walls of Honor” for exceptional student or team achievement in extracurricular programs will be incorporated into the new administration building.
    • Recruit, employ, develop, and retain quality teaching staff and reduce teacher turnover at or below 17.6% by August 2024.

     

    COMMUNITY 

    Anna ISD will:

    • Champion a supportive relationship with the community dedicated to achieving our district goals and utilizing effective communication.
    • Enhance and continue working with the City of Anna and all community leaders.
    • Actively engage and involve parents by establishing baseline participation goals through activities such as “Coyote Crossing,” PTA/Booster Club memberships, and event attendance.
    • Increase opportunities to develop positive and effective two-way communication between families and schools to support students’ academic achievement. Examples: Parent/Teacher conferences, Math/Reading Night, Gifted and Talented Advisory, AP/Dual Credit Night, and College Readiness Night.
