• Applications for the Anna ISD Ambassador Academy open annually in August for the current academic year

The Anna ISD Ambassador Academy is designed to provide community participants with a comprehensive overview of the school district by department and district leadership. By educating our community members about the workings of the school district, we create a resource pool from which to draw participants in district planning, district and campus improvement teams, and other district/community activities. In addition, it serves as comprehensive initial training for those interested in serving as a school board trustee. The objective is to provide information and an opportunity to ask questions in an interactive format. The format of the Anna ISD Ambassador Academy involves in-person sessions, which convene six times in the evening over a period of eight months.

• AISD board members are elected by the community at large for a 3 year term.
• Regular monthly meetings, special meetings as needed, additional continuing education credits required for new and experienced board members

Anna ISD Board of Trustees serves as the governing body responsible for overseeing and guiding the district's operations. Comprised of elected members from the community, the board sets policies, approves budgets, hires the superintendent, and ensures the district adheres to state and federal regulations while striving to meet the educational needs and goals of its students.

Purpose: Provide a holistic accountability framework and monitoring system to communicate to stakeholders.

Purpose: Develop and monitor district goals based on Needs Assessment

• Board members serve on a three-year term and meet monthly for regular meetings
• Committee members meet as needed. Community members are encouraged to join without term limits, offering flexible involvement opportunities.

• Consists of 12-15 members, allows flexibility for joining or ending terms based on individual interests.
• Meets 3-4 times per school year to discuss and address facilities-related matters.

The Facilities Committee serves as a strategic planning body for district facilities, addressing bonding, construction, upkeep, and allocation needs. Driven by the Facilities Plan, the committee formulates recommendations for both short and long-term projects. These recommendations are then presented to the School Board for consideration and approval.

Anna ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) reviews and recommends curriculum related to mental and physical health.
