Legacy of Service: Shelli Conway resigns from the Anna ISD Board of Trustees after 17 years of service

Shelli Conway was honored at the November School Board meeting for her 17 years of service to Anna ISD, and Anna’s mayor, Pete Cain, proclaimed November 21, 2024, as Shelli Conway Day.   During her tenure, Shelli helped guide the district through an extraordinary period of growth and development. When she joined the Board in 2007, the district served 2,000 students; today, that number has grown to more than 6,000. The district staff also expanded from 271 to 851 employees during this time. Among her many contributions were her pivotal roles in overseeing the construction of new facilities that have supported Anna ISD's rapidly growing community.

In 2020, Shelli graduated from Leadership TASB as a Master Trustee, reflecting her dedication to leadership and professional growth. Most recently, she is currently serving as the 2024 board president of the LTASB Alumni Association.

Shelli was also a founding member of the Anna ISD Education Foundation, launched in 2008 to support innovative educational initiatives across the district. She contributed to establishing the Anna ISD Ambassador Academy in 2017, fostering leadership and community engagement.

Shelli leaves behind a legacy of unwavering commitment to the students, staff, and community of Anna ISD. Her leadership and passion have made a lasting impact, and we are profoundly grateful for that. We wish her the best as she steps down from her role and celebrates her remarkable contributions to Anna ISD.
