Bilingual/ESL Parent Engagement Night

On April 30th, Anna ISD's Bilingual/ESL Department hosted a powerful and informative Parent Engagement Night featuring Dr. Richard Gómez. Dr Gómez created the dual language model implemented in Anna ISD in PK through 5th grade. The event highlighted the benefits of the dual language program and offered new Pre-K families a closer look at what to expect in their child's bilingual journey. Dr. Gómez also addressed all program families regarding the district's upcoming transition to divide the dual language program across two campuses: Rosamond Sherley Elementary and Lorenzo Dow Hendricks Elementary. With 64 parents in attendance, the evening proved a strong reflection of our community's commitment to bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural pride.
