Anna Student Advisory Council Launches New Year with High School Meeting

The Anna Student Advisory Council (ASAC) kicked off the 2025–26 school year today with its first meeting, bringing together Anna High School student leaders. ASAC was created to ensure that the voices and perspectives of Anna ISD students are heard and valued, helping shape decisions that directly impact their educational experience.

This year marks an exciting expansion: for the first time, students from elementary and middle schools will also join ASAC. Their inaugural meeting will take place next week, giving even more students a chance to share their voices.

At today’s high school session, returning ASAC members reflected on the positive changes they have seen since the group was formed. Students noted that lunches feel less crowded, school spirit has grown, and communication between schools and students has improved. Members also tackled current “hot topics” and were encouraged to get involved in upcoming community volunteer opportunities.

Anna ISD is proud of these student leaders and looks forward to seeing how this year’s ASAC, including the new elementary and middle school groups, will help make our schools even better.
