Anna ISD's CTE Programs Prepare Students for Future Careers

Anna ISD students have the opportunity to explore a range of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, gaining insights into various industries through hands-on learning experiences.

Recently, CTE instructors gave Interim Superintendent, Rod Townsend a tour of Anna High School's CTE programs. The tour began with Emily Burk and Audra Claypoole providing an overview of how the CTE programs operate and support students' career development.

At the Makerspace, Joseph Elizondo showcased cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing and laser engraving. Misty Godwin, who leads the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering program, highlighted the FAA Part 107 Drone Operator certification and the ongoing glider project. 

In the Graphic Design/Print Center, Lukas Reynolds spoke about the print team’s operations, offering a glimpse into graphic design and print production.

The Health Science program, led by Cheryl Clemmons, included a tour of the mock hospital. Mrs. Clemmons discussed the program's partnership with Collin College, which provides students with real-world medical training and experience.

Finally, in the Carpentry program, Charles Adams shared his professional background and the classroom's unique approach to construction education. 

These CTE programs are designed to prepare students for successful careers by providing practical skills and industry knowledge, emphasizing the school's commitment to future-focused education.
