Anna ISD's Best Buddies program

Anna ISD is now recognized as a Best Buddies school district with an active student group.  Best Buddies programs empower the special abilities of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy, and communication skills, and feel valued by society.

Karen Grace, AHS Life Skills teacher, and Jordan Swain, AHS Speech Language Pathologist, are the sponsors of the Anna ISD Best Buddies program.
