Anna ISD School Board President Shelli Conway chosen by the Leadership Texas Association of School Boards Alumni Association to serve as their President.

LTASB is a program that inspires school board trustees to be proactive, visionary leaders who promote educational excellence for ALL children in Texas public schools.  It is a rigorous program that aims to cultivate skills and habits to improve board effectiveness, heighten knowledge of, and influence policies for, state and national educational issues, and model ethical leadership through learning, mentoring, and empowerment.

After completing the LTASB program as a Master Trustee in 2020, Anna ISD Board President Shelli Conway became a member of the LTASB Alumni Association. 

The LTASB Alumni Association, with close to 900 members, provides an avenue through which those members can act to improve Texas independent school districts by striving to do such things as providing scholarships and recruitment, supporting networking among graduates from across the state, sharing board best practices, and advocating for the more than 5 million school children in the more than 1200 districts across the State of Texas.

In 2022, Conway was elected by her Alumni peer group to serve on the Executive Board, and earlier this month was chosen by that Board to act as President for the upcoming year.
