Anna ISD Honored at Greater Anna Chamber Banquet

The Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual awards banquet on February 28 at Anna High School, bringing together local businesses, community leaders, and partners to celebrate the people who make Anna a strong and thriving community.

Anna ISD was honored to be part of the evening in several ways. The Anna High School A Cappella Choir opened the banquet with a beautiful performance while guests enjoyed dinner. Student volunteers from Anna High School also served the meal, representing Anna ISD with professionalism, kindness, and pride.

During the program, the Chamber recognized its Anna ISD Super Star nominees. This year’s nominees included Johana Diego, Anna ISD Benefits Specialist; Robin Latham, Principal of Rosamond-Sherley Elementary; and Jeff Morris, Anna ISD Project Manager. Each nominee was recognized for their dedication and the impact they make within the district.

Jeff Morris was named the 2026 Anna ISD Super Star. His leadership and commitment to serving the district are important in supporting the success of Anna ISD students and staff.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening came during the presentation of the Chamber’s major awards, which include Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year. These honors are kept a surprise, with recipients unaware they have been nominated.

Superintendent Toby Tucker was named Citizen of the Year. Angie Toles, Executive Director of the Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce, recognized Tucker for his proactive leadership and his strong support of both the Chamber and the City of Anna. Tucker expressed his gratitude and shared the honor with the Anna ISD Cabinet team who serve alongside him.

Anna ISD is grateful for the continued collaboration with the Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce and for opportunities that highlight the strong connection between the district and the Anna community. Congratulations to all of the nominees and award recipients.
