Anna ISD Celebrates 2025 Employee of the Year Honorees

Anna ISD celebrated outstanding staff and educators at the 2025 Employee of the Year Banquet on April 3. The evening included dinner, student volunteers, and a special performance by the Anna ISD Jazz Band.

The night began with the Star Awards, recognizing staff nominated by their peers:

Supporting Star of the Year Finalists:

  • Libby Cox (Harlow Elementary)
  • Diana Diaz (Curriculum & Instruction) – Winner
  • Jenna Huff (Harlow Elementary)

Operations Star of the Year Finalists:

  • Herbert Juarez (Bryant Elementary)
  • Sgt. Brad Taylor (Harlow & Rosamond-Sherley)
  • Natalie Tschacher (Transportation) – Winner

Rising Star of the Year Finalists:

  • Kyle Alcosiba (Clemons Creek MS)
  • Rachel Martindale (Harlow Elementary)
  • Keyona Shoemaker (Rosamond-Sherley Elementary) – Winner

2025 Campus Teachers of the Year:

  • Bryant Elementary: Mindy Powell
  • Harlow Elementary: Jennifer Mazurek
  • Rattan Elementary: Heather Boykin
  • Rosamond-Sherley Elementary: Niki Matasso
  • Clemons Creek MS: Haylee Cannon
  • Slayter Creek MS: Mikaila Krehmeyer
  • Anna High School: Karen Grace

From this remarkable group, two educators were selected as Anna ISD’s 2025 District Teachers of the Year:

  • Elementary Teacher of the Year: Jennifer Mazurek
  • Secondary Teacher of the Year: Karen Grace

Diana Diaz, Natalie Tschacher, Keyona Shoemaker, Jennifer Mazurek, and Karen Grace each received a glass star trophy and $500, generously provided by the Anna ISD Education Foundation.

Superintendent and district leaders closed the evening by extending heartfelt congratulations and thanks to all nominees, finalists, and winners. The banquet served as a powerful reminder of the talent, passion, and dedication within Anna ISD.
