AISD and AHS Host First Top Ten Banquet Honoring Academic Excellence

Anna ISD and Anna High School proudly co-hosted their inaugural Top Ten Banquet on the evening of Monday, May 19, celebrating the top ten academic performers in each grade level at Anna High School.

Students in grades 9 through 12 were honored alongside their families in a special evening dedicated to recognizing academic excellence. For seniors, the banquet featured a personal highlight. Each senior selected one teacher from their entire school career who had inspired them the most. These honored educators were invited to attend and sat with the student and their family during the event.

Mr. Jared Miller, principal of Anna High School, presented a trophy to each top ten student. For the seniors, he also shared highlights of their high school accomplishments and plans for the future. After each senior was recognized, they gave a heartfelt speech about their chosen teacher and then presented them with a special award.

The Anna ISD Catering Department provided a delicious meal for the evening, and twenty Anna High School student volunteers served the meal with professionalism and pride. Beautiful floral centerpieces, created by Anna High School’s floral design students, added an extra special touch to the event.

The first Top Ten Banquet was a meaningful celebration of academic achievement, teacher influence, and community pride. Anna ISD and Anna High School look forward to making this event an annual tradition.
