Voices of the Pack Shine at UIL

Voices of the Pack Shine at UIL

Clemons Creek Middle School choir students recently represented the Pack with pride at the UIL Choir Concert and Sightreading Contest. Both the combined Clemons Creek and Slayter Creek choirs delivered impressive performances after months of hard work and dedication.

The Tenor-Bass Choir earned straight 2s (Excellent ratings) for their stage performance. Their growth throughout the year has been remarkable, especially as many singers are navigating changing voices. From the beginning of the school year to their performance at UIL, the improvement has been clear, and their passion for singing continues to shine.

The 7th and 8th Grade Treble Choir earned straight 1s (Superior ratings) for their stage performance and straight 2s (Excellent ratings) in the challenging sightreading portion of the contest. In sightreading, students are given a piece of music they have never seen before and must analyze and prepare it in just minutes before performing it for judges.

Both choirs demonstrated perseverance, musical skill, and the results of months of practice. Congratulations to these talented students for representing the Pack so well!
