5th Grade STAAR Prep at the Decimal Diner
5th grade STAAR prep is in full swing at the Decimal Diner! Students in Mrs. Fuqua’s class practiced real life scenarios of eating at a restaurant on a set budget, plus gained further understanding of the concepts of tax and tip percentages. They got to practice adding and subtracting decimals for their group’s total, multiplying decimals to find the tax amount, then dividing decimals to figure out how much money they each had to pay for their meal. The students thoroughly enjoyed snacking on peanuts and fresh rolls with honey butter too! Big thanks to Texas Roadhouse for their donations!
