The Lady Coyotes secured their spot in this Saturday’s state meet with a second-place finish in the Region 2-4A Division Meet on Monday, October 22 in Dallas.

“Our second place finish is the highest in school history and qualifies us for the State Meet in Round Rock on November 3rd”, said Coach Scott O’Connor. “We had several girls do very well, especially Aimee Landers-Wilburn who placed seventh overall.”

Landers individually qualified for the State Meet and ran a lifetime best for two miles.
O’Connor continued, “A fun note about Aimee is that last year at this same race, she placed 108th. She has dedicated every aspect of her life to that performance and it came through in such an amazing way for her. I couldn't be more proud of what she did and what this team accomplished.”
