Campus Behavior Coordinators
In compliance with Texas Education Code §â€¯37.0012, each campus in Anna ISD designates a Campus Behavior Coordinator (CBC) responsible for managing student discipline and ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
What Does a Campus Behavior Coordinator Do?
Campus Behavior Coordinators serve as the point person for all matters related to student discipline. Their duties include:
- Maintaining campus discipline by enforcing the Student Code of Conduct and supporting a positive campus climate.
- Responding to behavior referrals by addressing teacher-submitted referrals with consistent, developmentally appropriate interventions.
- Notifying parents promptly when a student is suspended, placed in DAEP or JJAEP, expelled, or taken into custody.
-
Coordinating with Threat Assessment Teams to report serious offenses (such as terroristic threats or weapons violations) for further review.
-
Supporting Restorative and Preventative Practices to help design and implement supports that teach appropriate behavior.
If the Campus Behavior Coordinator is unavailable, the principal or their designee will fulfill these responsibilities.
