Stakeholder Input for ESSA 2021-22 Consolidated Grant
A public notice has been issued with the purpose and tentative plans for Title funds in the 2021-22 Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Consolidated Grant.
The grant overview and a form for submitting comments regarding the tentative use of funds is outlined below. The public is asked to submit any comments by Friday, July 30, 2021.
PUBLIC NOTICE
General Overview and Tentative Plans for 2021-22 ESSA Consolidated Grant
Title I-A: $220,000 (Estimate)
- Purpose:Â Provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education and close educational achievement gaps.
- Tentative Plans:Â Provide staff for reading/math intervention at each elementary campus, supplemental instructional materials, and parent engagement activities.
Title II-A: $54,000 (Estimate)
- Purpose:Â Improve student achievement by improving teaching and leadership (teacher and principal staff development)
- Tentative Plans:Â Provide professional development geared toward implementing the content area curriculum, and the AISD New Teacher Academy mentor program (teacher retention).
Title III-A, ELA: $51,000 (Estimate)
- Purpose:Â Provide support to students who are identified as Limited English Proficient while at the same time mastering state content area standards.
- Tentative Plans:Â Provide supplemental staff for parental engagement activities and summer school activities, supplemental instructional materials and technology for the Bilingual/ESL program, staff development in the area of English Language Learners, supplemental supplies for parent engagement activities.
Title IV-A: $16,000 (Estimate)
- Purpose:Â Improve student achievement by providing all students with access to a well-rounded education, improve school conditions for learning and improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students.Â
- Tentative Plans:Â Provide instructional materials for social emotional learning program, support innovative programs in CCMR (College, Career, & Military Readiness).
