Curriculum & Instruction
The field of education is always changing, thanks to the rapid development of new technologies and the persistent stream of new policies, standards, and best practices. The Anna ISD Curriculum & Instruction Department aims to provide teachers and paraprofessionals support in pedagogical best practices, curriculum implementation, instructional strategies, student and institutional assessment, differentiated instruction all while adhering to educational policy. We aim to give you the skills and knowledge you'll need to keep up with the changing landscape of education and always do what is BEST for students.
Adopted Curriculum
Curriculum adoption is one of the most important processes that a school district goes through. While it is mandated by the state for every classroom to have adopted curriculum, we believe that implementation and buy in from the teachers can make or break usage. We believe that it is vital that our process is thorough, research based and is supported by stakeholders.
Elementary Education
Elementary Education is the first stage in formal education and generally serves Pre-K through 5th grade students. Elementary education prepares children in fundamental skills and knowledge areas.
Secondary Education
Secondary Education is considered the second phase of basic education and serves 6th through 12th grade students in middle school and high school. Our goal is to ensure that ensure that all secondary Anna ISD students have access to high-quality pathways to career and college through Advanced Academics, Career and Technical Education, STEM Education and Counseling and Advising services.
