AISD Police Department

The Anna Independent School District has its own Police Department, currently comprising six licensed peace officers. Each middle school has one officer on campus daily to patrol, check doors, and build relationships with students. The high school is served by two police officers and four safety monitors, while elementary campuses are randomly patrolled by our officers and protected by school Defenders.

Here’s additional information about our police force:

  • Six Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certified officers
  • Dispatched by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, allowing communication with all local law enforcement agencies responding to campus situations
  • All officers have previous experience in military, city, county, or state law enforcement
  • A combined total of 131 years of service
  • Average of nearly 24 years of experience in law enforcement
  • Over 19,000 hours of total training, with ongoing development
  • Five officers designated as Master Certified Peace Officers; one officer is pursuing their intermediate peace officer certificate
  • Each officer is currently seeking a Master School-Based Law Enforcement Certification
  • At least one officer is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Two additional officers assist in emergency situations
