The Advanced Placement (AP) program was created by the College Board in 1955 to provide students with a college-level work in high school. Anna ISD and College Board are committed to the principle that all students deserve an opportunity to participate in rigorous and academically challenging courses and programs. All students who are willing to accept the challenge of a rigorous academic curriculum should be considered for admission to AP and Pre-AP courses.
AP Courses Offered
Students completing AP courses in high school may elect to take one or more of the exams in an effort to attain college level academic credit. Tests are criterion reference because the student is measured against a predetermined standard in each area tested. The exams are offered at Anna High School and registration is held on each campus in the spring semester. The exam schedule is here. AP tests available to be administered by the high schools include:
