3/24/20 Update: Important Elementary Information

PreK-5th Grade Information

In an effort to support At-Home Learning for our elementary students, we will host a Materials and Supplies Curbside Pick-Up and a Chromebook Curbside Pick-up on Wednesday, March 25.

***Please note these Curbside Pick- Up events are at two different locations.***

Materials and school supplies will be available at your respective elementary campus (Bryant, Harlow, Rattan, and Pre-K at AEC.

In the event school is still closed on April 13, elementary students will transition to eLearning via Schoology. We want to make sure that students have a device in their hands to support eLearning. Many different devices including laptops, desktop computers, and tablets will suffice for use of district eLearning. If you already have a device at home, we encourage you to use your personal device. 

Based on the results of the At-Home Instruction Survey, we can guarantee a Chromebook for any student who indicated that they do not have a device to use at home. We will make every effort to have a Chromebook available to all other Anna ISD PreK through 5th grade students. There is no reservation required. Full Details about Chromebook Checkout HERE.

3/19/20 Update: Anna ISD Closed Indefinitely/At-Home Instruction Begins

Governor Greg Abbot has ordered that all Texas schools temporarily close through April 3. Anna ISD campuses are closed indefinitely to support our community and health care professionals in the ongoing goal of containing the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, all extracurricular activities, practices and athletic events are suspended while we are closed.
District officials will meet on April 3 to assess reopening status. We do not make this decision lightly. We fully realize it presents significant difficulties to working parents. However, we are hopeful that these measures will better ensure the long-term health and safety of children, staff, and the larger community.

Anna ISD will continue to provide free curbside breakfast and lunch Mondays through Fridays for all AISD students during this closure. Meal pick-up details can be found on the FAQ sheet located on our district website.

While the district is closed, we expect our students to continue learning at home with the remote support of our teacher and support personnel. Anna ISD At-Home Instruction begins on Monday, March 23.

At-Home Instruction for Elementary Students

Pre-K through 5th-grade students will receive a packet of instructional activities in the mail within the next few days.

In the event our campuses are still closed, elementary students will transition to eLearning via Schoology on April 13. Anna ISD will provide an opportunity to check out a district-owned digital device, Chromebook, for eLearning at-home instruction for any Anna ISD elementary student in need. Families will receive Chromebook Pick-Up opportunities based on the results of the At-Home Instruction Survey.

At-Home Instruction for Secondary Students

There are two different options for At-Home Instruction for 6th through 12-grade students.


Students will use their personal digital device to access eLearning via Schoology. Students that indicated on the At-Home Instruction Survey that they do not have a digital device, will receive information on how to check out a district-owned Chromebook.

Chromebooks will be available for elementary students at a later date. In the event our campuses are still closed, we will host an elementary device pick-up on April 6.

Students who cannot gain access to the Internet will be mailed an envelope of instructional material. This material will contain three weeks of academic content in math, science, reading, writing, and electives. Students are expected to complete and return their material in the original envelope.
Drop off bins will be available April 6-10 from 9 AM - 1 PM in the front lobby of your child’s campus.

This is a quickly changing situation, and we will continue to monitor information and will continue to provide updates as needed.
