Greetings and welcome to Guidance and Counseling for Joe K. Bryant Elementary.
My name is Leigh Wood and I am your child’s school counselor.
The Guidance and Counseling office offers a variety of services to our students:
•Character Education/Guidance Lessons
•Individual Counseling (Education/Social Skills)
•Group Counseling (Social Skills)
•Parent Conferences
The School Counselor also coordinates a variety of services on campus, such as Section 504, Gifted and Talented programming, and Response to Intervention (RtI).
It is our goal to make our campus a “home away from home” for your child. We thrive on the family atmosphere that we foster here at JKB and want your child to feel safe and happy under our care. My philosophy is that if we nurture the heart, the mind will follow.
