This is the image for the news article titled Greta Adams Receives a Coyote SaluteIn an initiative to appreciate AISD employees who live out our mission to INVEST, INSTILL & INSPIRE and go above and beyond for our students, Anna ISD launched an exciting employee recognition program coined "Coyote Salute". Criteria for earning a Coyote Salute is someone who goes above and beyond their normal job duties for the benefit of our students while modeling the Mission, Vision and Core Beliefs of Anna ISD.

The first ever Coyote Salute recipients were recognized at the September 2018 Anna ISD School Board Meeting. Anna ISD District Librarian Greta Adams was one of these recipients.

Last spring, Greta Adams designed and launched a class for our students in the Credit Recovery program called "Adulting 101".

Mrs. Adams has already implemented Adulting 101 this school year, where she partners with community members to bring real-life skills (not taught in schools) to our students.

Each month, Adulting 101 covers a specific life category such as Money Management, Home Economics, Car Care, etc.). Mrs. Adams coordinates experts from our community to come in once a week, for hands-on demonstrations that cover topics specifically tailored to that month’s life category.

This is above and beyond Mrs. Adams' role as our district librarian. She truly cares for our kids and has a genuine desire for each one of them to be successful in all aspects of their lives.

Mrs. Adams' creation and implementation of “Adulting 101” fits into our vision, mission and each one of our eight core belief statements.
