This is the image for the news article titled Coyotes in CaliforniaThis past weekend, the Anna Coyotes Women's Chorus traveled to California for the Barbershop Harmony Society Midwinter Youth Chorus Festival. This festival involved 19 schools from all over the nation, and one from Canada. The choruses were made up of men's, women's and mixed choruses; all under the age of 25. The majority of the groups were from high schools, but community groups were also represented.

On Friday evening, the Anna Coyotes Women's Chorus sang in front of 5,000 people at the Segerstrom Performance Hall. The Anna chorus received a rating of "Good" and earned pins associated with the rating.

"I could not begin to tell you how proud I am of this small chorus, " said AHS Choir Teacher, Daniel Rohovit. "In less than two years, the Anna Choir Students have gone from being choir rookies, afraid to sing in front of a small classroom of people, to a chorus that is confident in walking across a new stage in front of a massive audience. For many of you who are unfamiliar with Barbershop, it has been described as "the black belt of A Capella". It's not easy stuff and our students did an awesome job in their preparation and performance of the music."

Here is a video that features the singers in the contest as well as summarizes the day of the contest.
