Criminal Background Check for Volunteers
Anna ISD conducts a background check using Raptorware on all volunteers. Volunteers must submit their valid driver's license to the campus secretary for this process to be completed. This process is used when volunteering for a field trip, working in a classroom, chaperoning a school dance, eating lunch with your child etc. You will be issued a sticker with your information printed on it which must be worn while on the school campus or on the field trip.
Employee Benefits
Anna ISD pays $315.00 of the employee's health insurance for the 2012-13 school year. The District offers group supplemental insurance that may be purchased by the individual in addition to health insurance. New employees have 30 days from date of employment to complete their benefit paperwork and submit it to the Anna ISD Benefits Department. Most benefits elected will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of active employment.

Public Information Requests
Citizens requesting to review or obtain public information should do so by mail to 501 S. Sherley Ave., Anna, Texas 75409, by fax to 972.924.1001, by email to thomas.oneal@annaisd.org or in person at the Sherley Ave. address. The written request should include enough description and detail about the information requested to enable the district to accurately identify and locate the information requested. Clarification may be necessary.
Substitute Orientation
Substitutes must attend a mandatory orientation each school year and have an active application on-line at www.annaisd.org. Please bring a COPY of your valid driver's license and social security card, a voided personal check for direct deposit, a copy of your high school diploma, college transcripts (if you have one) and/or a copy of a valid Texas teaching certificate (if you have one) to the orientation. The dress attire for these orientations will be business casual. The next orientation will be during the July/August timeframe for next school year.
